Depending on your business and the work processes of your company your Dynamics AX BlueStar PDM/PLM PLM solution will always require solid implementation planning.

Speedy Implementation - Proven Implementation Methodology

PDM technology cooperate with our customers using a three phase implementation methodology which has been developed and optimised through a variety of projects:

Phase 1:
In this phase we implement the basic PLM functionality onto your existing Dynamics AX platform. Typically this involves integration with your CAD system and your existing document structure covering items, Bill of Material (BOM), drawings and all other essential documentation. Depending on the level of customisation required, this first phase takes between 3 and 6 months to complete.

Phase 2:
In the second phase the Engineering Change Management (ECM) system will be implemented.

Phase 3:
The final phase includes the implementation of processes and associated functionality which will integrate BlueStar further with other Dynamics AX processes. This typically covers workflow, process automation, and e.g. integration into the production and purchase order systems.

In each of the three phases, PDM Technology utilises a basic and well proven four-step approach: Scope, Build, Implement, Evaluate. The details of these steps and the schedule is agreed upon with the customer before the project is initiated, and progress reports make it easy to track the status of the implementation process throughout all phases and interim releases, right through to the final release of the system.
